Prof. Dr.V. Srinivasa Rao
Dean – School of Computing
Prof. Dr. V. Srinivasa Rao obtained his M.Tech (Computer Science &Tech) from Andhra University in 1998 and Ph.D. (Computer Science and Engineering) from Berhumpur University in 2009. Prior to this, he served as professor in Computer Science & Engineering department in reputed institutes for more than two decades. He has a total teaching experience of 30 years and also a distinguished academician whose advanced research in the field of Image processing, Video Analytics, Bioinformatics and Data Mining algorithms.
He has published 3 patents and 38 research papers in refereed international Journals and Conferences. He also completed 4 Major Research Projects funded worth of 1.0 crore by UGC, DOS, DST and AICTE.
He has guided more than 8 Ph.D. scholars, M.Tech.(23) and besides guiding a large number of student projects.
He has been recognised as NBA master Trainer, Margdarshak by AICTE and Mentor of Engineering programmes for NBA Accreditation. He has also recognised as an Evaluator for NBA Accreditation process. As an Expert member he involved in the preparation of new education system, assessment and accreditation process and their impact on Indian Higher Education.
His Major thrust are initiatives for faculty effective teaching, Problem solving skills & efficient coding, Modern Pedagogy and Innovative projects.
To add impetus to his academic credentials he has undergone training on Outcome Based Education parameters organized by NBA. He has visited several engineering colleges as an expert member of NBA Committee for the evaluation of B.Tech. Programmes.
