Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) in the field of Computer Science and Engineering aims to build intelligent machines that can impersonate human cognitive functions, such as seeing, learning, and problem-solving. The learners will comprehend the basic AI-related terms such as Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Expert Systems which will play a key role in the future of technology and science. This program is designed along with the Computer Science & Engineering core and more emphasis on AI and ML specialization.

Objectives of the Programme

  • Interpret with fundamental knowledge in Mathematical foundations, Algorithmic principles and software engineering principles for problem solving.
  • Equip with strong fundamental concepts of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, including large data collection, Statistical model selection and optimization techniques to make prediction for better decision making.

HoD – Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning

After completion of degree graduate will

PEO1: Explore the fundamental concepts of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, including large data collection, model selection, model complexity, standard algorithms and techniques.
PEO2: Exhibit the knowledge and skills required to discover pattern using Machine Learning algorithms and to make prediction for better decision making
PEO3: Demonstrate as skilled professional to meet the growing demand for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Engineers in industry or continue higher education at a reputed institution in India or abroad.

Engineering Graduates will be able to:

PO1. Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
PO2. Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
PO3. Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal and environmental considerations.
PO4. Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
PO5. Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
PO6. The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.
