Guidelines for Authors
Authors are invited to submit papers for this journal through
E-mail: ijmsc@veltech.edu.in
Papers, which must be written in English, should have sound grammar and proper terminologies.
Authors are requested to enclose Copyrights Transfer Form (duly signed) along with their paper submissions.
Submissions must be original and should not have been published previously or be under consideration for publication while being reviewed for this Journal. For paper format download the IJMSC Template (MS-Word/LaTeX) provided in this page.
Authors submitting a revised manuscript need to outline separately the response to the reviewers’ comments including changes introduced to the manuscript.
There are no publishing charges for accepted papers.
Cover letter (optional) may be enclosed highlighting the novel features of the submitted paper.

(Authors are recommended to use LaTeX for submitting papers. For reviewing, authors may send PDF file of their papers. Upon acceptance, authors using MS-Word are requested to submit final camera-ready-format Word file and authors using LaTeX are requested to submit all LaTeX documents, figures (in encapsulated postscript format), etc. used for preparing their paper.)
Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement
Ethical Guidelines for Journal Publication:
The publication of a research article in the peer-reviewed journal – International Journal of Mathematics and Scientific Computing (IJMSC) – is a direct reflection of the quality of the research work of the authors and their institutions. Peer-reviewed articles support and enrich the scientific method of disseminating knowledge. Hence, it is important to agree upon standards of expected ethical behaviour for all parties involved in the act of publishing: the author, the journal editor, the peer reviewer, the publisher and the society.
Vel Tech as publisher of the journal IJMSC conducts its duties of guardianship over all stages of publishing extremely seriously and ethical standards are followed throughout the publication process.
All submitted papers are rigorously scrutinized by plagiarism-detecting commercial software and only papers which are original in content are taken to review process. Plagiarized papers are rejected in the initial scrutiny process itself.
All submitted papers are subject to strict peer-review process by three international reviewers that are experts in the area of the particular paper. Relevance to the journal, originality, novelty, readability, language and description are the major factors that are taken into account for review. The possible decisions include acceptance, acceptance with revisions, or rejection. Rejected articles will not be re-reviewed.
Duties of Authors:
Originality and Plagiarism:
Authors must submit only original articles for publication in IJMSC, and they must not submit the same article in other journals for publication as well. Plagiarism in all its forms constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable.
Acknowledgment of Sources:
Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be given. Authors should cite publications that have been influential in determining the nature of the reported work. It is expected that authors are aware of the latest research work related to the subject of their research articles and authors are requested to give recent research publications in journals and conference proceedings relevant to their research problems. Confidential information of any kind must not be used in the research articles without the explicit permission from the authors concerned.
Authorship of the Paper:
Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the research articles submitted. The corresponding author should ensure that all appropriate co-authors and no inappropriate co-authors are included in the paper, and that all co-authors have seen and approved the final version of the paper and have agreed to its submission for publication.
Duties of the Editorial Board:
Publication Decision:
The editor-in-chief of IJMSC is responsible for deciding which of the articles submitted to the journal should be published. The validation of the work in question, its relevance to the scope of topics in IJMSC and its importance to researchers must always drive such decisions. The editor-in-chief may confer with other editors or reviewers in making this publication decision.
Fairness in Reviewing:
The editorial board of IJMSC should evaluate manuscripts for their intellectual and technical content only without any regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy of the authors.
Confidentiality:
The editorial board of IJMSC must maintain confidentiality of all submissions of IJMSC. They must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, other editorial advisers, and the publisher, as appropriate. Privileged information or ideas obtained through peer review must be kept confidential and not used for personal advantage.
Duties of the Reviewers:
Peer-Review Decisions:
Peer review assists the editorial board of IJMSC in making editorial decisions and hence peer review is an essential component of formal scholarly communication. Only qualified people from the editorial board or researchers working in the relevant fields will be assigned to evaluate the submissions and make peer-review decisions for publication.
Promptness:
Prompt review is expected from all reviewers. IJMSC gives one month time to all reviewers for making peer-reviews and if for any reason, prompt review within the timeline is not possible, the selected reviewers may notify the editor immediately for making alternate arrangements. Delay on the part of reviewers will cause a delay in peer-review decision. IJMSC expects all reviewers to follow the timeline in reviewing the research articles sent to them for review process.
Objectivity and Confidentiality:
Reviewers are expected to conduct a peer-review of the research submission in a fair and objective manner without any bias of any kind. Also, all manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents.
