The most exciting time of the year is here. For many of you this is the beginning of a new phase in your life, a time to achieve independence and tread on untrodden paths. Leaving one’s family, hometown and customary routines and launching into an entirely new environment can be arduous. Dread not! There are ways to tackle any newbie trouble that you have. Let’s look into a few:

1. Buddy time

Developing a good relationship with your classmates and roommates can reduce any worry and apprehension. Sharing your experience and spending time with them can bring about a huge difference. Knowing that there is whole lot who is travelling in the same ship can be very soothing.

2. Sweat it out

Working out for one hour each day can make you feel happier and more relaxed and bring down the stress level and anxiety. Any mild exercise like an early morning walk and half an hour gym time can go a long way.

3. Know your faculty

Interacting with your mentors and faculty members and maintaining a healthy relationship with them can make the transition better. A deeper understanding of how to access the resources can be achieved by this collaboration.

4. Get organized

Transition from school to college can be taxing if you do not organize your time and academics. Managing one’s academic life and organizing yourself for the new semester ahead can motivate you and create a hassle-free atmosphere.

5. Social life

Here at Vel Tech we provide you numerous opportunities in the field of sports, cultural and other artistic arenas. So make sure you grab these chances and equip yourself to become a culturally and socially competent person.

6. Get yourself oriented

Attending the induction classes can prepare you to have a broader understanding of the fundamentals and how the system works. These classes can also provide an overview of the syllabus and course outline.

You have made your choice and have arrived at the hub of knowledge and experience. So enjoy yourself while you lay groundwork for a successful college career. Hope you have a wonderful time as you embark upon this new journey.
