Dr. K Jagajjanani Rao, Professor (Research) in Biotechnology and the Dean Dean, School of Bio Engineering (SoВЕ) at Vel Tech University. He completed his M.Tech and Ph.D. in Green Synthesis and Bionanotechnology from the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, Odisha, and was awarded the prestigious BIRAC Postdoctoral Fellowship (2015-2018) from the Department of Biotechnology.

With approximately 14 years of experience in biotechnology research, Dr. K. J. Rao has made significant contributions through his innovative research and numerous scholarly publications. He has successfully acquired funding for four sponsored projects from DST/DBT (serving as Principal Investigator for two and Co-Principal Investigator for two), published 33 international papers, authored three book chapters, and holds five patents.
