Dr. K. Aruna is an accomplished academician, researcher, and administrator with over two decades of teaching experience and six years of professional experience in the banking and financial services sector. Throughout her career, she has been committed to nurturing student success, promoting academic excellence, and fostering innovation in commerce education.
She has held several leadership positions, including Principal (i/c), Vice Principal, Professor, and Head of the Department of Commerce. Her academic and administrative contributions have played a significant role in curriculum development, quality enhancement initiatives, faculty mentoring, and institutional growth.
Dr. Aruna’s research interests span Banking, Finance, FinTech, Artificial Intelligence, Digital Banking, Financial Inclusion, InsurTech, and Consumer Behaviour. She has published extensively in reputed Scopus-indexed and UGC-CARE journals and has presented her research at various national and international conferences. Her work focuses on bridging the gap between emerging technologies and contemporary business practices.
She has authored books on Financial Systems and Digital Banking, edited scholarly publications on AI and FinTech, and holds a patent related to measuring service quality and customer satisfaction in the banking industry. As a research mentor, she actively encourages faculty and students to engage in meaningful research, innovation, and knowledge creation.
A lifetime member of the Indian Commerce Association and a recipient of multiple professional certifications from NCFM, NISM, SWAYAM, and SEBI, Dr. Aruna believes in creating a dynamic learning environment that combines academic rigor, industry relevance, ethical values, and global perspectives.
As Dean of the School of Commerce, she is dedicated to building future-ready professionals equipped with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to excel in an ever-evolving business world.
