Dr. A. ARUMUGAM,
M.Com., M.Phil., MBA (Finance)., Ph.D., NET., SET.,
With over 25 years of academic and administrative experience, he has served in various roles including Lecturer, Assistant Professor, Professor, Head, and Principal. He served as a Senate Member of Periyar University for a decade, contributing significantly to higher education and academic governance. He is an active member of the Indian Academic Researchers’ Association, Indian Commerce Association, and Indian Accounting Association.
He has successfully supervised 4 Ph.D. scholars and is currently guiding 4 research scholars. He has also mentored 26 M.Phil. scholars and 20 MBA students from reputed universities including Madurai Kamaraj University, Annamalai University, Bharathiar University, and Alagappa University.
He has published over 30 research articles and authored 4 books in the field of Commerce. He has organised International, National, and State-level seminars, workshops, webinars, and conferences. He has also served as a Question Paper Setter, External Examiner, Resource Person, and Guest Faculty for UG and PG programmes.
He has played a key role in academic administration through committees related to Discipline, Anti-Ragging, Research & Development, Career Guidance, Industry Collaboration, and Value-added Courses. He has organized numerous academic and extension activities including seminars, guest lectures, workshops, NSS camps, awareness programmes, and industrial visits.
In addition, he has served as the Coordinator of Learner Support Centres (LSC) for multiple universities and as Chief Superintendent/Centre Head for examinations conducted by TNPSC, TRB, Banking, Insurance, and Judicial Departments.
