INVESTIGATION ON PARTIAL REPLACEMENT OF COPPER SLAG

AN EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION ON PARTIAL REPLACEMENT OF COPPER SLAG AS FINE AGGREGATE IN PAVER BLOCK AND BEAM

By Anstey Vathani, VTD985, Research Scholar, Department of Civil Engineering
Due to the fact that India is still a developing nation, the construction of new roads and buildings are both very significant. Paver blocks are commonly utilised in outdoor applications in today’s world, in addition to their applications in street roadways and other building sites.

An investigation was carried out into the use of copper slag as a replacement for fine aggregate and of GGBS as a replacement for cement. In addition, the addition of thermocol balls to strengthen the strength of paver block and the addition of steel fibre for cube and beam were also investigated. The block that is employed has the shape of a bi-arc, and its dimensions are 260 millimetres by 110 millimetres by 80 millimetres, which is equal to 26 centimetres by 11 centimetres.
