LABORATORY INFRASTRUCTURE

 Fully air conditioned, spacious and well designed and well equipped Laboratories.

 The Laboratory has state of the art Lawrence & Mayo Fluorescence and Phase Contrast
Microscope with HDMI display and port; that can take high definition images and videos of
live cells; under bright field, phase contrast and fluorescent modes.

 The Lynx Deep Freezer ( minus 86 degree Celsius) is capable of storing micro-organisms and
samples at temperatures below freezing for long periods of time.

 Refrigerated Centrifuges @ 24,000 RPM can separate components in any biological fluid
such as blood or environmental samples (wastewater)

 SHIMADZU Weighing balances are used to ensure students use the same kind of sensitive
weighing equipment used in their occupation.

 Imported Class II Bio Safety Cabinets for aseptic operations is used for training the students
in industry grade aseptic techniques.

 The Department also hosts Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer and Hanna Multi
parameter photometer suitable for soil and water analysis, elemental analysis of organic and
inorganic constitutents in environmental samples.
