The Department of Civil Engineering started in the year 2009, offers B.Tech. Programme and M.Tech programs with specialization in Structural Engineering, Environmental Engineering. The Department has 23 faculty members (most of them with Ph.D. qualifications) augmented with many visiting professors from reputed Institutions like IITs, NITs, and International Universities.The department has been accredited by NBA TIER I for 3 years effective from the academic year 2022-2023.
Most of the faculty members are fellows and members of professional bodies in various fields of Civil Engineering covering the areas of concrete, soil mechanics, water resources, remote sensing, and technical education. Faculty members continuously update their knowledge by attending training programmes at IITs, IISc, and other premier Institutions. Active participation of the faculty members in testing, consultancy services & sponsored research activities help them to interact with industries and demonstrate the application of concepts in the field and improve the teaching-learning activities of the department.
