Manufacturing Technology Lab

The principle of manufacturing laboratory is to provide an introduction to know common processes used in Industries for manufacturing parts by removal of material in a controlled manner. Manufacturing laboratory provides necessary practical hands on training in different manufacturing processes like turning, taper turning, knurling, countersinking, drilling, boring, external thread cutting and tapping etc.

Fluid Mechanics and Machinery Lab

This laboratory consists of various apparatus and test rigs utilized by the students to understand and visualize the fluid dynamics concepts. Students can understand the working concepts of turbines and learn their performance characteristics. Basic experiments to calculate the flow rate, major and minor losses of pipe sections are also available.

Thermal Engineering Lab

Thermal engineering laboratory consists of cut section models, experimental facilities of IC engines with operating parameters like no. of cylinders, type of loading and different fuel variants. This laboratory demonstrates the experimental knowledge on combustion theory and performance analysis of IC engines.

Strength of Materials Lab

Strength of materials laboratory consists of experiments which helps the students to understand the various materials properties like Hardness, Elastic Modulus, Rigidity Modulus and Impact Strength.

Dynamics of Machinery Lab

Dynamics of machinery lab is to understand the basic principles of machine mechanisms. This lab provides fundamentals concepts of various mechanics and dynamic analysis of mechanical system like vibrations and controls etc.

Metrology Lab

Metrology laboratory familiarizes students with measuring instruments to study various methods of measurement of mass, length, angle and quality. This lab facilitates students to learn about errors and correcting methods arising during measurement.

Mechatronics Lab

The objective of this lab is to impart knowledge in the design of pneumatic, electro pneumatic components for automation, programming for PLC/microcontroller and to configure these for a customized application. Students get practical knowledge on selection of automation, development of program for different application and configuration of systems for various mechatronics application. More over, the modern facility to perform real time experiments in the field of automation and robotics are also available.

Computer Aided Design Laboratory

CAD (Computer Aided Design) provides a convenient mean to create designs for almost every engineering discipline with 2-D & 3-D designing, drafting, and analysis. This lab provided digitally intergrated environment where 3D printing is also available to visualize the models designed.

Computer Aided Manufacturing Laboratory

Computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) is the use of computer-based software tools that assist engineers and machinists in manufacturing or prototyping product components. Its primary purpose is to create a faster production process and components with more precise dimensions and material consistency, which in some cases, uses only the required amount of raw material (thus minimizing waste), while simultaneously reducing energy consumption.

Heat Transfer Laboratory

This laboratory consists of facilities for understanding the concepts and applications of thermal engineering in the field of refrigeration and air conditioning and compressors. are in the laboratory. This laboratory also involves Heat balance calculations for thermal equipment's, study of heat pipes and thermoelectric cooling of high heat flux devices.

Special Machine Laboratory

Students understand various machining operations carried out in machine tools such as slotting machine, shaping machine, radial drilling machine, gear hobbing, milling machine and grinding machine.
