Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Deep Learning are trending technical buzzwords in the 21st Century with major misconceptions deviating from its actual meaning. Many companies claim to incorporate some kind of artificial intelligence (AI) in their applications or services, but what does that mean in practice?
Artificial Intelligence is the concept of creating smart intelligent machines. Likewise, Machine Learning, a subset of artificial intelligence, helps in building AI-driven applications. And, Deep Learning is a part of broader family of machine learning that uses vast volumes of data and complex algorithms to train a model. These concepts with its rapid progress in research and development will lead to new interpretations and definitions in the upcoming eras. So, this symposium will enable us to keep pace along with the upcoming growth in technology.
This Symposium on Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning / Deep Learning Techniques and Applications comprises oral paper presentation sessions to showcase the original research contributions and innovations of researchers and industry professionals across the country & globe. In addition to the researcher’s contribution, few keynote sessions in the area of AI / ML / DL will also be arranged to provide new perspectives to researchers and participants on emerging trends. This Symposium aims to create opportunities for collaborative research.
The objectives of the symposium are to provide researchers with an opportunity for sharing their perceptions, presenting innovative applications and projecting views on societal impacts of emerging AI / ML / DL Techniques and Applications
The outcomes of the symposium could be attaining a comprehensive understanding, acquiring requisite knowledge and knowing societal impacts of emerging AI / ML / DL Techniques and Applications
The Centre for The Centre for Academic Research of Vel Tech has been functioning since 2009. The Dean (Research Studies) oversees, co-ordinates and controls the research activities conducted according to ethics and etiquette. The research programmes are offered in the areas of Engineering, Technology, Science and Humanities, Management and Law leading to the award of Ph.D. through different schools of study.

The papers accepted for oral presentation will be published in the proceedings of symposium in electronic / print form.
Select papers, presented at the symposium will be recommended by the organizers for publication in the CSI Transaction on ICT (Springer) https://www.springer.com/journal/40012 without any article processing charges (APC). However, the publication of the papers is subject to guidelines of the journal.
A cash prize of Rs.10000, Rs.7500 & Rs.5000 respectively will be awarded to the best three papers presented.
Certificate of Presentation, Appreciation & Participation will be issued to all the eligible participants based on the category of participation in the symposium.
